Dialogues is a disc of completely improvised music using melodic and rhythmic motifs from which to build improvisations. With the influence of Indian music, the ECM sound and Cuban percussion, Dialogues has a "world" music quality while remaining on the cutting edge. The title track is reminiscent of 20th Century classical music and "Spontraneous" is a unique collage of themes by John Coltrane. The music on this CD is fine example of the sensitivity required to create improvised music that sounds pre-composed.
